Book Review?

Hello, Everyone!

I keep writing and re-writing this introduction because no matter how I start, it never seems right. Up until Friday evening I was worrying about petty things, like feeling guilty for not posting a writing prompt last Wednesday. Something happened that made me pause and take a good look around me. This thing pushed me to remember why I started writing in the first place. The circumstance that took place was a poor man trying to kill himself.

My husband and I were going to go mountain biking. We were on the hunt to find a place that means very little to me in retrospect. Instead we found a man locked in his car with a tube going from his tail pipe to window. We thought he was dead. He was non-responsive. In order to use our cellphone to call an ambulance we had to go back to the start of the trail.

From there I will add that the man was alive, but for privacy sake, I will not be divulging any other details.

The reason I bring this up today is because I want anyone, and everyone that reads this post, weather regularly or not, to know that I am here if you ever want someone to talk to. I may not understand exactly what you are going through, but I will do my best to listen.

I would also like to take this time to add there are others, people trained to help, out there. This stuff below is a part of every one of my contemporary novels.

You can get help

If you or someone you know is depressed, suicidal, and/or being abused (sexually, emotionally, and/or physically) please get help!

You are not alone!

I write about serious parts of life that are often tucked under the rug, in hopes to touch someone and help them. These stories do come from my mind; however, some of them are parts I have personally been through.
